We are thrilled to announce three large construction projects coming to Blue Mountain this spring. All of these projects have come from you our community and we cannot tell you how excited we are to be bringing them to you.

Terrain Park Expansion: Our first project is the renovation and expansion of our Terrain Park. This was by far the most popular of all the inputs we received. Specifically, we received requests to increase the number and lengths of rails, as well as enlarging some of the ramps. We are happy to indulge these desires and go a step further by adding a Big Air ramp at the base of the park.

Alpine Slide: The second project we’re rolling out is a mile-long Alpine Slide. Of all the ideas for improvements for summer activities, the Alpine Slide had by far the most support. Yes, a mile-long waterslide sounds great but wasn’t very realistic, sorry Tim. Don’t worry though the design we’ve selected won’t affect any of our winter slopes.

Gondola: Our last project came as somewhat as a surprise. We weren’t expecting such a large desire for a Gondola, both by skiers and snowboarders, as well as folks who would just enjoy it for sight-seeing. We had been planning to construct a Gondola in a few years, but from the strong outpour of desire we have decided to advance these plans to this year. The Gondola will be able to accommodate approximately 8 people, with a total travel time of 10 minutes to reach the summit of Peak 6. The length of the system will be roughly 7,500 feet long and 400 feet in elevation.
We couldn’t be more excited to begin these construction projects, and we none of it could be possible without the incredible support from our community. So, with that we want to say thank you and that we look forward to continuing to expand and meet your expectations.
